Summer Camps and Clinics
I will be offering several options for lacrosse camps and clinics over the summer.
A total of 25 student athletes will be accepted on a paid first basis for the set camps.
Hourly student athletes will be accepted as time permits.
The idea behind the camps is for parents/guardians to pay for a product that is well worth their hard earned money. People are paying too much for lacrosse instruction and you don't have to.
There are some amazing camps out there, but they are 600.00 or more for one week, sometimes only 4 or 5 days. They claim you can be recruited from these camps and send you a form letter without even knowing who you are or what level you play at. They do this to fill their camps and raise money for their collegiate program. Many boys and girls leave camps of this nature without improving much simply because the instructors work with the strongest players.
A simple fact is that lacrosse has grown quickly and to some extent is not about the kids anymore. It is however about the money programs can earn.
Am I looking to earn money, yes, but I will also gaurantee your son or daughters improvement at any position.
There is a program in Eastern MA that charges 85.00 for a 1.5hr goalie clinic. I worked with a goalie a few years back that had paid this program almost 1000.00 in total. After working with him for a few practices he told me I helped his game far more than those clinics ever did.
People are learning this lesson the hard way and it's unfortunate. Please pass my information along to anyone you know who has children that play lacrosse and are looking to improve.
Prices and options
600.00 - With this option you can schedule as many 3-5hr sessions as possible over the summer months. You will either work as an individual or in a very small group setting of 2 or 3 others. You can also tell me exactly what you would like to work on, or you can allow me to evaluate and come up with a training plan for you.
400.00 - 36 hours of camp time
350.00 - 32 hours of camp time
Hourly rate is 25.00
Traveling clinics - Used by East Lyme CT for their youth boys and girls goaltending population
350.00 total for 3hrs up to 175 miles away
Anything over 175 miles and there will be a .38/mile charge both ways in addition to the fee
Perfect for groups of 10-15 at 35.00 each or less; 15 would be a maximum number of participants for improvement purposes.
Traveling for any camp customer will be possible for .38/mile each way plus camp fee
Any of these options will take place during the following schedule
Monday - 8am-8pm
Tuesday - 8am-2:30pm
Wednesday - 8am-8pm
Thursday - 8am-2:30pm
Friday - 8am-8pm
First come first serve scheduling within the time slots
This spring I will be running clinics for goaltenders who would like extra coaching
15.00/hr each plus travel if applicable
You will save 50.00 on the 600.00 camp if paid in full by February 1st
You will save 25.00 on the other two "hours" options if paid by February 1st.
